EARN MORE
Recruit more ATKV members. With effect from 1 April 2005, the recruitment commission is replaced by an ATKV Gift Voucher valued at R60,00. You may use the gift voucher at the ATKV Head Office, ATKV Resorts or LAPA Publishers when you purchase books or book accommodation.

DISCOUNT
The ATKV loyalty programme introduces a new membership category with effect from 1 April 2005. Based on this system, long, active membership and loyalty is rewarded by awarding points or e-cultures. The number of e-cultures determines a member's membership status and based on these ATKV members enjoy various benefits in terms of accommodation discounts at any of the ATKV's resorts or discount when they purchase books from LAPA Publishers.

Membership is categorised into ordinary, bronze, silver, gold and platinum status. A total of 30% of a member's e-cultures may be carried over to the next year. No ATKV member will forfeit any benefit. All members that joined the ATKV before 31 March 2005, are entitled to bronze membership, although all members that joined after this date, are entitled to ordinary status only.

ACCIDENT ASSURANCE
The ATKV's official assurers will pay an amount of R10 000 to a legal personal representative of a full ATKV member that dies anywhere in the world, upon the understanding that the person's membership fees are fully paid and that the accident occurred while travelling as a paying passenger on public transport (eg, bus, taxi, train, aeroplane, or ship). This benefit applies to main members aged 15 to 70 years only.

SCHOOL FEE FUNDS
A limited number of bursaries are available in case of true need to help members pay for their children's school fees or school wear. Application forms are available from the ATKV Head Office. The closing date is 30 September of each year.

DEATH FUND
Cover for family members:
Main member and spouse - R2 000
Children: birth to five years - R250
Children: six to 13 years - R500
Children: 14 years to 21 years, or until child takes up full-time employment (whichever happens first) - R2 000
Pensioners and honorary members that attained this status before 31 August 1986 are entitled to R250. Membership fees were not increased. Persons younger than 55 when they join the ATKV, become members of the ATKV Death Fund.

STUDY LOANS
ATKV members or their children may apply for a tertiary study loan. A limited number of study loans valued at R10 000 per annum for the duration of the course are awarded annually. The allocation of a study loan is subject to a strict evaluation process. The loan is subject to an interest rate of 3% per annum during the course of the study period and 8% per annum during the repayment period. One study bursary of R8 000 is awarded annually for full-time post-graduate studies. Applications for study loans and/or the bursary close annually on 15 October.

MAGAZINE
The ATKV's monthly magazine, "Die Taalgenoot" is provided free of charge.

HOME LOAN DISCOUNTS
ATKV members qualify for a discount of 1% on Absa Bank home loans. This discount applies only if no other discount applies to the home loan.
